Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
The software is being used by the accounting department but not by the whole organization. The Accounts payable specialist and the payment processor use the A/P Module and Cash Management Module, A/R Module. The Accountants use more modules, like the reports center, GL module, and dashboards. The ability to have all the information at a fingertip reach has been the greatest positive thing in implementing Sage Intacct. Report Customization is another aspect that is highly appreciated giving the possibility to many senior managers to view different levels of reports.
Pros
- Ease of use - Sage has built a simple yet effective platform for the daily activities of the accounting department.
- Customization - Another positive aspect of using Sage Intacct is the ability to create and use customized reports. Creating a value-added process to the leadership.
- Accessibility - Being cloud-based software, Intacct creates the opportunity to access the data and system from anywhere as long as there is an internet connection.
Cons
- Accounts payable - There is some room for improvement in there. Nothing major but when there are numerous invoices to be approved, you have to make sure to switch pages in order to see all the items. A show all button will make things a lot easy, giving the possibility to the review to see all items on one page.
- Gave us the ability to move resources from manual work to more of an automated process as well as give the opportunity to these human resources to advance their training and careers as well as be more time and cost-efficient.
Absolutely, the company has greatly benefited from process automation. As mentioned in the prior segment, we were able to apply resources in a different way and move away from manual processes almost all together whether these being A/P, A/R or even the general ledger. Automation is a value-added to any company and Intacct has really done a great job in providing this value.
One product that we evaluated was Avid Exchange. The main reason why was because we needed a product that not only provided A/P capabilities but also gave us the opportunity to make and issue payments and also support with such payments. This was a time something that was lacking in Intacct and thus we made the decision to go ahead and use Avid Exchange for our A/P.
