Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
Our nonprofit organization grants to other nonprofits. We use Sage Intacct for both our own accounting needs as well as to help our grantmaking to other nonprofit organizations. By purchasing user licenses for those organizations, we are able to set up dashboards and reports specifically for them and their funded projects.
Pros
- Dashboards
- Ability to drill down into data quickly
- Ease of use (not clunky)
Cons
- User permission setup
- Budgeting
- Collaborate feature with different user permissions
- Increased efficiency
- Speed in real-time data
- Ability for alignment across departments
We have multiple funders and projects and the ability to tie expenses and then earmark if they are billable or not has been a game-changer. Creating reporting and billing that is customized to each funder means that billing is a breeze and less prone to human error due to offline spreadsheets. Everything is tracked (and is accurate) in one system now.
Our organization uses time and expense. It is so useful to have all staff be able to submit expenses, and then tie them directly to their timesheets to cost allocate. The dynamic allocation module for cost allocation is a little clunky, but the extra effort for us is worth it for the ability to not have separate excel sheets outside our accounting database.
Do you think Sage Intacct delivers good value for the price?
Yes
Are you happy with Sage Intacct's feature set?
Yes
Did Sage Intacct live up to sales and marketing promises?
Yes
Did implementation of Sage Intacct go as expected?
Yes
Would you buy Sage Intacct again?

Although Financial Edge NXT has made many improvements over the years, the Financial Edge database itself is very clunky and difficult to use. It feels very dated and is not user friendly in display or ease of use.
