Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It is currently being used by our Accounting department. It addresses the lack of a true Accounting system that our other system does not have. As we get more and more comfortable with it, I believe we will start to spread it across our various departments, where it makes sense.

Pros and Cons

Creating purchase orders.
Creating executive reports.
Segmenting purchases into specific areas (location, warehouse, dept, activity).

Ability to change an item from inventory to non-inventory.
Better and easier use of creating forms from the system.
Ability to mark as credit card transaction without having to tie into a credit card system.

Return on Investment

It is much quicker to create a PO for purchasing in Sage [Intacct] than our old system.
It is cheaper than the external accounting firm we were using to manage our books.
It gives us greater visibility into the financials of our company on a daily basis.

Sage Intacct Automation

Yes, automating the general ledger, accounts payable, and order management allowed our company to become paperless and streamline the approval processes and payment processes, which takes our staff less time to do and saves us in employee cost.

Sage Intacct Configuration

I only helped configure the purchasing side of Sage Intacct and it was pretty straightforward. There were a few drawbacks such as the forms to create were not the most user-friendly.

They are great at reporting and purchasing, which is all my role basically uses it for. Creating PO's and items in Sage Intacct is really easy and they have an upload feature that can be used to mass import items or vendors. It also keeps track of all history of orders, so you can see what you ordered, when you ordered it, and who you ordered it from.

Pretty easy to use system to use.

Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
