Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

Sage Intacct is used for AP, AR, purchasing and financial reporting. The interface with our sales software (ConnectWise) has removed entry errors as it has eliminated data entry. The approval functionality within Payables has allowed us to easily handle working remotely as we used to pass paper around for approvals.

Pros

  • Importing data from non partner software - fantastic templates.
  • Reporting for all management with the 'read only' users.
  • Easy Excel dropping of reports with preserved formatting of report.

Cons

  • Attachment capability for payments received against Receivable invoices.
  • Options to make Graph reports more like the ability to customize normal reports.
  • Drop down in report customization for YTD amounts and rolling 12 month periods.
  • Time saving, freeing staff for other work, with interfaces and importing that eliminates data entry and the need to review entry.
  • Easily moved to paperless accounting to accommodate remote working.
QuickBooks did not have the interface and import/export capabilities that are essential for us. NetSuite provided too much at a cost we couldn't afford.

Sage Intacct is well suited for company accounting and reporting, including rolling up of departments and separate companies. Not applicable if you do partnership owner reporting and need to record/track Basis, Distributions and Contributions
