Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

We use Sage Intacct to deal with payroll, accounting, compliance, and tracking a hybrid billing model.

Pros

  • Payroll and employee benefit tracking.
  • Nested reporting structures that take variables at run time.

Cons

  • Exporting reporting automatically.
  • Dealing a large volume of invoices quickly.
  • Too soon to tell, but so far is reducing time to close for the month by about 30%.
We are in the middle of an implementation right now migrating from Sage 100 to Sage Intacct. The promise of automation as well as integration with other areas of the business (like payroll) is what drew us to Sage Intacct. But I cannot speak to it's overall efficacy yet. Implementation and been pretty straight forward with an implementation partner though. Less than 6 months to migrate accounting systems.
We looked at adding contracts and got partway through the implementation before dropping it. Overall contracts were not an exact match for a SaaS business and Evergreen contracts did not have all the functionality we needed. Still managing our contracts on a home build system.
We've had to reimport our GL a few times as we have made changes to configuration options and changed how we were tracking and reporting on things like Resellers. Overall it feels like a better map should exist migrating from Sage 100 to Sage Intacct for these relativity common use cases.

Reporting is very in-depth. Lots of choices for filters, dimensions, an even nested structures with context depended filtering rules.
