Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

I use Sage Intacct to manage the general ledger. I create journal entries, import journal entries, run trial balances, and send reports to managers based on programs or members, which we list as dimensions. Soon to be more involved with AP. I may get involved with budgets in the future. I will be involved in creating reports and dashboards.
  • Import function of large journal entries works pretty well
  • Easy to understand error messages
  • We can cut and dice our results well using the dimensions
  • I have to spend a good amount of time going into scheduled reports individually to change the subject, date, etc. I would like to make the change once and impact an entire group of scheduled reports. Maybe be able to control the time of day the reports go out instead of when they do go out now.
  • Our management loves this product. We want to implement this at a hospital we support in Cambodia. This might be an easier sell if Sage Intacct had a presence in this country. It is the locals who need to get on board.
  • Overall the system is easy to learn and seems to be growing with our organization.
We have taken advantage of some of this, but I don't think we fully utilize it. Some of it is newer employees on our side. Some of this is not knowing what we can do. It might be nice if we had a Sage Intacct expert in the Atlanta area come and review our system and process and then match that up with what Sage Intacct can do to make sure we optimize the product.
We have not used most of these modules, so I have no input on them.
The system was in before I started, so I don't have strong knowledge of this. It does do nice things like giving me an email notification automatically when I import an entry telling me if I am successful and, if not, why.

Do you think Sage Intacct delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Sage Intacct's feature set?

Yes

Did Sage Intacct live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Sage Intacct go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Sage Intacct again?

Yes

Hard to say since my work on JD Edwards was before it became Oracle. Sage Intacct uses dimensions, and when I used JD Edwards, it did not.
Sage Intacct was already used when I arrived at HOPE worldwide, but I have experience working with multiple accounting software packages. Some of these I implemented. This one, by far, comes the closest to meeting the needs of our organization. Other systems make you use a long chart of accounts with multiple segments to slice the data. The use of dimensions seems to work better.
