Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
We use Sage Intacct as our primary ERP to streamline and enhance our accounting processes. We mainly use Intacct for general ledger management and financial reporting and currently process AR and AP through other platforms that integrate with Sage Intacct. Sage has helped us from a scaling perspective as we grow through acquisitions and can add on additional entities and multi-currency/global consolidation modules.
Pros
- Controls
- Audit trails.
- Reporting
Cons
- Sage could integrate better with other/more platforms.
- Sometimes require a lot of drilldown to see details.
- Description of errors from uploads could use more detail.
- Better controls for company.
- Not as easy to navigate for our CFO.
We have leveraged some of the automation surrounding the general ledger by using memorized transactions, which help speed up our month-end close process. Sage also integrates well with BILL.com, which we use to process AP. However, when it comes to AR/order management, this area is highly manual as we have to import invoices every month into Sage, and the custom API integrations don't seem to work well with Maxio.
We recently implemented multi-currency/global consolidations. While not fully functional yet, they should help us report on all entities within one ERP. However, the implementation process has been extremely disorganized, and it does not feel like we are receiving adequate support from the Sage implementation team to be brought up to speed on how to actually use these modules.
