Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

I use Sage Intacct daily for Sales Orders, Sales Invoices, AP, and Purchasing. The software makes it easy to track subscription contracts purchased by our customers and schedule recurring invoices for mid-term billing.

Pros

  • Tracking contracts.
  • Importing templates for long JEs.
  • Running detailed reports.

Cons

  • Ability to update address when sales invoice has been posted.
  • Ability to update PO number or contact name when sales invoice has been posted.
  • Ability to enter a pre-payment prior to SO or invoice being generated.
  • Made it easier to track unbilled AR in contracts.
  • Made it harder to mark AP as paid.

The initial integration was done by a team member no longer with the company. Sage Intacct was somewhat helpful during the process but not always responsive. One of the negative aspects of the software is that it is hard to find solutions when doing a Google search, for example.

Sage Intacct is an excellent program for when you need many details. However, I feel that it lacks some functionalities to make easy transactions less complex - such as being able to edit or update transactions after being posted if the changes do not affect the amount, GL, and payment dates.
