Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

We use Sage Intacct Accounts Payable, Purchasing, expenses and timesheets. It works mostly well for us. It is our main accounting software but we are not using all of its functionality. Our biggest challenge is workflows because we are a small staff and don't have individual staff dedicating to entry vs. approving. And the reporting periods are not flexible which makes grant reporting on out of cycle periods a pain.

  • The Purchasing work flow is great
  • Expense reporting is easy
  • Importing transactions is easy

  • GL reporting doesn't have all the fields we need
  • Overall reporting is not flexible
  • It made a huge difference in productivity when implemented
  • We were able until a certain point able to do more work with the same number of staff
No. In discussions.
We had a VAR who implemented us. They did not do a great job. We have been in discussions with Sage about this and are likely to re-implement. Our account rep has been helpful in navigating what we need, who to contact for proposals and Sage Advisory has been helping us with some immediate fixes.
Mostly more robust except for the reporting. MIP had the ability to input any to/from dates for reporting.

The native reporting function is really not robust. The fixed reporting periods are stupid. Why can't you run any report with a specific start and end date? We could do that in MIP which we used before Intacct. And why does the expense ledger not provide the detailed coding for the transactions?
