Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

One of the biggest benefits is the cash management feature. We used to wait until the end of the month to reconcile cash in excel, and now we are able to reconcile cash daily. This has made our month end close process much faster. Additionally, the ease of editing and reversing journal entries and AP vouchers is ideal.

Pros

  • Cash Management
  • AP Vouchering
  • Editing journal entries

Cons

  • Out of the box reporting could be more robust
  • Eliminating journal entries are not super clear
  • ability to edit AP vouchers without voiding them
  • much faster
  • close improved from 60 days to 10
  • better and more timely reporting to management
We do not currently use the accounts receivable or order management parts of Sage Intacct, but i would love to in the future. We only use the general ledger and accounts payable functions currently. We have significantly benefited from the automation as we now can process our weekly payment run right from Sage Intacct and it populates in our bank file.
We use multi entity and global consolidations right now, but not project accounting, time and expense management, contract revenue management and spend management. We have 3 entities that are consolidated and we also split a lot of revenue and expense items between them. Sage Intacct makes it so easy to do as you can set up recurring items with the split or even if you do a manual journal entry, you can do a formula right in the line item.
We had RKL help us implement Sage Intacct. I will say the big downside is that it took us about 15 months to go live after starting the process. There were quite a few false starts getting the information ready to upload and configured, so that could have definitely gone better.

Do you think Sage Intacct delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Sage Intacct's feature set?

Yes

Did Sage Intacct live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of Sage Intacct go as expected?

No

Would you buy Sage Intacct again?

Yes

Sage Intacct is best suited for a mid size company like mine. I think if the entity was very large or had many consolidating entities, it would be confusing, as the eliminating entity and journal entries are not super clear. Additionally, a company with a lot of different cash accounts would benefit.
