Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

We use Sage Intacct for financial reporting and general bookkeeping. It integrates with other software systems we have, which makes it nice! We have quite a few different entities and the ability to have them all using the same system makes it really nice. I've learned a lot through using Sage Intacct!

Pros

  • Multiple Entities
  • Configuration Options
  • Reliability

Cons

  • Report cover pages - better functionality and editability
  • Report tables of contents - I want to be able to run a report group and literally be able to send everything off ready to go to management from Sage Intacct, not have to add a cover, table of contents, etc.
  • Better integrations with other software, like Bill.com
  • Costly to train employees to use
  • Didn't work as intended with Bill.com and was VERY costly to find answers and a solution
  • Automated recurring JEs
General ledger accounting has been easy to use and reconcile. We use outside software for accounts payable and accounts receivable, so having those integrated is essential. Being able to automate recurring journal entries is very helpful. Having report group packets so everything runs together is a nice feature that I use often.
Yikes. It takes a major learning curve. We use a vendor and it's been a great experience. Giving new customers a year of support or vendor use would be a HUGE benefit that would go a long way to making customers happy using the system. It was really frustrating before. I did learn a LOT on my own beforehand, but I learned the hard way and realized how much faster I could have gotten there with help.
More scalable, robust, and meets the advanced needs of our growing company.

Do you think Sage Intacct delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Sage Intacct's feature set?

No

Did Sage Intacct live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of Sage Intacct go as expected?

No

Would you buy Sage Intacct again?

Yes

Sage Intacct is great for companies with multiple entities and experienced accountants. I'm not an experienced accountant (will, at least wasn't when I started) and it was a pretty big learning curve, whereas a more out-of-the-box solution may have been easier. I'm glad I stuck with it, though, because I've learned a lot! We work with a third-party support team now and I'd highly recommend that! There's just so much with Sage Intacct to learn.
