Overall Satisfaction with SAP Analytics Cloud

Analytics Cloud is currently being embedded as the Analytics tool for the finance organization. The plan is to augment our use of BPC for planning.

Pros

  • Integration.
  • Multiple capabilities.
  • Ease of use.

Cons

  • Focus on BI casual end-user. Ensure the basic BI use-case is competitive with your main competitors; Tableau, PowerBI etc.
  • Improve the reporting UI - Grid/Cross Tab style is not intuitive and primitive.
Integration across SAP application suite is critical. Embedded planning extending BPC was critical as it provided a multiple use-cases extending the investment in existing technologies used for planning and reporting.
Good range and particularly good with integration to HANA, BW, BPC.
Collaboration within the application is a good feature eliminating the need for offline processes like extraction, email, etc.
SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence (BI) Platform, SAP BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation)
SAP Analytics Cloud is well suited for integration with BPC. It is the only visualization tool that I know of which directly integrates.
