Overall Satisfaction with SAP Analytics Cloud

I use SAP Analytics Cloud mostly for financial reports and FP&A.
The product is still in its infancy….. no comparison with established reporting tools like bobj / tableau/ power bi. …. Etc.

SAP already had bobj …. Why couldn’t they just integrate webi / crystal in s4 …. Rather than re inventing the wheel …..
only thing sac is useful for is top level dashboards….which the other tools can do it too.

Pros

  • Single platform
  • What ilfs analysis
  • Speed
  • None

Cons

  • More graphic ability like tableau
  • More integration with sap bi
  • Use of query like feature - refresh as webi
  • Ease of use - simple basic report tool capabilities…. Without writing scripts.
  • S4 security should flow into sac.
  • U have Crystal and webi ….. make the same capability or just used them instead
  • SAP still have some ways to go on this
  • Not sure about ROI
  • Will take Lot of time to replicate - what we have in bw /bobj
SAP Analytics Cloud is still not mature enough
SAP roadmap tells us to move to SAP Analytics Cloud … but the product is not there yet.
