Overall Satisfaction with SAP Concur

I am in sales and I use SAP Concur to submit all of my expense reports. The main problem this has helped with is the need to keep and send in receipts. With SAP Concur, I can take a photo of my receipt and submit. So easy! The ability to itemize things like hotel bills, where you may have charged dinner to your room, parking etc, also makes it very easy to claim all expenses. I have the SAP Concur app on my phone, so I can fill out my expense report each day of my business trips, which makes that dreaded task so much easier!

Pros

  • Can itemize receipts
  • Has recently used categories at the top of the page for ease in documenting expenses
  • I get notifications as the report goes through the approval/paid process so I know when to expect reimbursement.

Cons

  • I have a hard time putting mileage in on the app - it's much easier to do it from desktop
  • I don't like that my phone has to be locked in order to have the app on there
  • The date function doesn't always work the first time, you have to be very careful and check that the correct date gets attached.
  • Speed of reimbursement - went from weeks to getting paid the very next week!
  • More accuracy on totals and amounts, so less back and forth with accounting
I don't have any information regarding other systems or software being used.
It has defintely helped move us to a more automated, up to date company! I'm sure that our accounting department has less headaches as well, since the math/figures are automatically calculated and flags any errors or even potential errors.
With regard to employee experience, it has helped greatly because we don't worry about keeping track of paper receipts when we're on the road. A quick photo and we can be on our way!

It really works for sales people who are on the road! Makes life so much easier and the paperwork upon return is pretty much eliminated. It also works well for folks that work remotely and may have had to previously mail in their reports and receipts. I used to photo copy all of my receipts and now I don't have to do that! I also like that when our company was going to reimburse remote workers for a special lunch, they were able to add that category to the report options and we could submit directly for that lunch. Very flexible and easy to use.
