Overall Satisfaction with SAP Crystal Reports
Crystal reports was being used to create reports pertaining to how many hours the staff were dedicating to specific duties within the company. As this company was a high-frequency trading firm, finding alternative ways of automating different employee tasks helped to reduce down the total overhead while allowing the staff to devote more time to the more important aspects of the business. The intelligence that Crystal Reports generated provided a lot of insight into just how much time was really being wasted in areas of the business that really did not need a person performing, yet were never automated with software as it was perceived that much less time was being used up by these tasks.

- A lack of 3rd party tools

- Yurbi and Jasper
While Crystal Reports is a very solid business intelligence application, and can produce very detailed and highly formatted reports with a properly trained professional at the helm, it is a giant mess with anyone that does not have years of experience. Jasper and Yurbi are both much more user friendly, and Jasper can create pixel-perfect reports that can equal or rival Crystal Reports, while being offer under an open-source license that anyone can understand, and is powered by Java, letting it be ran on practically any device.
