Overall Satisfaction with Litmos

Litmos has been used in a variety of ways. The first and foremost is for our training content and we use both storyline and articulate 360 for course creation. The other thing it's currently being used for is surveys so that different departments can properly track their employees when they log on for purposes of compliance when new initiatives are added to the company.
  • Easy to learn and use
  • Simple interface
  • The training tutorials aren't the best
  • Litmos has made learning faster.
I've used Schoox, Redbird, Moodle, Blackboard, SABA, Cornerstone, and a variety of LMS systems and I think it ranks fairly high with the rest of them. I don't see much of a difference insofar as what it can do. What sets it aside from my perspective it's just that it's easy to pick up and learn if you haven't used it before due to all the training available online.

Do you think Litmos delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Litmos's feature set?

Yes

Did Litmos live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Litmos go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Litmos again?

Yes

Again as I mentioned for me as an instructional designer it's very easy to pick up this system and learn it based on all the training there is online. As a content creator being able to upload scorom files and being able to track them is key, this system allows for that level of ease.
I think that I would rate this a ten. As far as where it's appropriate, I think this LMS works best for mid to large-size organizations. I like the fact that it doesn't push its own course creation tool (as they tend to be garbage). This LMS also makes it so that you don't need an admin since it's easy to learn to use.

Litmos Experience

Nowadays I feel that most organizations are expecting the instructional designer to also be the LMS admin. What makes me rank Litmos so high is that even as an added responsibility, its easy to get into it and use it. Once you build out your lesson path/learning track it becomes even more intuitive.
