A Good Learning Management System
Overall Satisfaction with Litmos
We use SAP Litmos as our primary Learning Management System. It helps us house all of our courses we provide our team and it helps us track completion for all courses that a team member needs to complete. it has also helped us assign Instructor Led classes for our new hire training and management trainings.
Pros
- SAP Litmos is very customizable and can be setup however you like it.
- SAP Litmos also has great functionality including a sync with Microsoft teams and ADP.
- SAP Litmos give you the ability to gamify the learning courses you create
Cons
- The ADP connector has not worked consistently for us.
- They can provide better training around customization.
- Simplified Training Reporting for us
- Helped increase team member engagement in training
- Helped increase training compliance rates
Litmos was a far superior LMS than our previous one in that the customizable features allowed. Also, the end user experience was easier to use and the look and feel of the system was how we wanted it. Both software's have its pros and cons, but as a just an LMS Litmos was a much better experience as admins and users overall.

Litmos Experience
We enjoyed seeing and getting to use some of the enhancements of the Litmos learning management system. We used the Team Integration where our trainers can assign team members to classes right from Litmos which was great.
Our team members have used Litmos now for about 3 years. We've seen them enjoy the content and we love that the learning management system sends reminders to take learning that is near their due date. Reporting has also been easy to pull and access for us which made it great for transparency and follow-up.

Evaluating Litmos and Competitors
Yes - it replaced a product called Halogen learning. Halogen is now a new company called Saba that integrates an all-in-one platform. When we switched to ADP they did not have a learning management system. We purchased this as a preferred company from ADP.
- Scalability
- Integration with Other Systems
- Ease of Use

We love the ease of use for Litmos as well as the ability to customize our end user look and feel. Our older learning management system that was able to customize colors and page of our site. With Litmos they allow for some CSS customization and its awesome to see our platform have our look and feel to really be My Wireless branded.
I would definitely ask how much time it would take to customize the platform to the way we wanted it. CSS is very time consuming, and I wish I would've known the time investment to make this happen.
Litmos Implementation
- Implemented in-house
Yes - Phase one was looking at our old LMS and seeing what we needed to bring over. 2nd phase was building out the users, teams, and roles into Litmos. 3rd was creating all training courses, learning plans and certifications, and 4th phase was test launching with a small test group.
- CSS customization for look and feel
- Bringing in data from the old LMS
Litmos Training
- Online Training
- In-Person Training
- No Training
The platform is definitely easy to start to use on right out of the box. No training needed. However, if there is any customization needed or you are going to use one of their plug ins training is definitely recommended. It all depends on how much customization you d like to have.
Configuring Litmos
Take your time to watch all training videos so you can fully understand how to setup the platform and work properly. Also make sure you setup your teams functions as it makes it much easier to assign training if this is set up properly.
Yes - we have customized the interface extensively - It was a complex process as most of our IT team does not have knowledge around CSS. It also took some time since we had to get a 3rd party to help us here.

We did not purchase premium support as we felt we did not need this for our usage of the platform.
Yes - Yes, this was resolved with a platform update and was satisfied in a timely manner. The error didn't allow some users to login for some reason.
Terry was am amazing help with our Litmos platform showing us the capabilities of the platform and seeing how we can use the full suite to fulfill our desires. His knowledge of the platform and advice allowed us to come up with a good plan to execute the virtual training plan for our teams.

Litmos Reliability
Integrating Litmos
- ADP
- Paycom
At the time ADP did not have a learning management system so we purchased limos in order to integrate a learning management system into our HR system. It was not hard to integrate Los into ADP as Los was a part of their approved applications. We have since pivoted to Paycom, and there was no one-to-one integration for Paycom.
- Paycom
At this time, there is no integration with Paycom, but we are hoping to see if Paycom can integrate with the Litmos
- File import/export
- Single Signon
- API (e.g. SOAP or REST)
Understand the full scope of how your company wants to use your learning management system tied into your HR platform. Also see if you would like things like single sign-on, and API integration as this will take time to integrate with your HR system. Luckily, we were recommended from ADP to purchase Los as our LMS and it worked out beautifully.
Relationship with Litmos
Initially, we negotiated the amount of time that was needed to integrate with our HR system ADP. We also were able to negotiate her user price that allowed us to be flexible with our growth in the future.
No exactly what you need for your learning management system and see what courses are also needed as limo provides a good amount of external online courses that could cover your HR needs and any learning needs from your team, soft skills and hard skills.
Upgrading Litmos
Yes - Yes, we’ve gone through a couple of updates for Los learning management system, and all were great with no downtime and great enhancements on each release.
