Overall Satisfaction with SAS Visual Analytics

SAS Visual Analytics was used to identify data type, and for filtering data fields as per requirements. For me, it appeared like SPSS combined with R language. This interface is very helpful and made it easy for me to use the software. To get the desired result and output, it is very easy to relate. For regular R users, writing algorithms is very easy and visuals appear side by side.
  • Stock market analysis.
  • Resource utilization and optimization.
  • Pivot table analysis.
  • Customizing a report as per the user requirement.
  • Adding more color and font styles. Presenting data in a more colorful way.
  • The website has a lot of tutorials which is more inclined to the technical side. Maybe add more to the presentation side as well.
I have used SAP Lumira as well. The reason for me to use both software is to see the user experience. With Lumira, it was easy for me to visualize data and data storytelling and with SAS it was easy for me to create an algorithm as I wanted them to be. SAS software allows me to create conditions, analyze data as I want it which is a limitation in Lumira. This was the main reason why I chose to use SAS Analytics.
Data source connectivity for me isnt a really a problem since I work mostly with Excel data, however other data source like entries saved in notepad cannot be added in SAS. It is easy to migrated notepad entries in excel after giving conditions. I would recommend SAS to provide this option as well
In our case, I was working on the data alone. Sharing the workbook wasn't really a problem since it was meant only for viewing for the rest. No time was wasted in waiting to share the access and allow to view. We were able to work side by side. It was efficient.
For the industry I was working it, it was very well suited. We conducted regular analytics of the number of orders completed a week. It gave us insight on how we grew week to week. While it was easy to work on quantifiable data, it was difficult to work on qualitative data. One suggestion I would add is that if SAS could provide options that would allow qualitative data to be quantified.
