Overall Satisfaction with Scale Computing HC3

We are using the HC3 to run several of our virtual servers. Two of the servers are our domain controllers. We are in the process of migrating more of our VMs over from VMware. The use of Scale has freed up resources that we had budgeted for VMware.

Pros

  • Very easy to install and migrate existing VMs over from VMware.
  • Support is seamless and remote help is a click away.
  • Support is US based and never a problem getting in touch with a technician on the first try.

Cons

  • The only thing that was missing when we purchased the unit was remote replication. They have addressed this with a cloud offering.
Support is US based and is only one click away from remote access. Could not be more pleased with their support.
We have several of our domain controllers running on the HC3 and the migration was seamless. We are ready to move other mission-critical systems over to our HC3 cluster.
  • Scale has already paid for itself after two years with our savings from licensing and hardware refresh that we would have had to invest.
We looked at several other hyper-converged systems before purchasing the HC3. The greatest savings comes from the open source VM software that comes with the systems. No more VMware licensing cost.
If you are looking to save money on your virtual environment then Scale will help you accomplish this. We have not had one issue in two years of running the system.
