Overall Satisfaction with Schoology
Schoology is a Learning Management System being used by my school district. It is a system designed to be used by staff and students. The platform is built for collaboration. Educators from around the world can create and share resources. It can be used to organize information, post assignments, assess and interact with students.
- Collaboration:
- Schoology allows staff to share resources and ideas. The LMS allows for the formation of groups that are tailored to a specific area. Educators are able to post discussion questions, build a digital file cabinet of resources and learn from others in their school or from around the world.
- Assignments:
- Teachers are able to develop courses that address the needs of 21st century learners. From scheduling and assessing assignments to differentiating the curriculum, Schoology allows you to design a course that is just right for your students.
- Usage:
- Schoology is designed to be user friendly. The layout of the LMS is simple and strait-forward. Looking for help and answers to your questions is part of the user friendly interface.
- Schoology Functions:
- Tools built by Schoology work like a dream. Tools for assessing students and providing feedback are some of the best features of the LMS. However, Schoology has a small list of "apps" that can integrate with it's grade book function. Allowing more 3rd party apps to access grade book would provide teachers with more ways to engage and assess students.
- Schoology allows for a truly differentiated classroom. Students are able to work on material that is appropriate for their learning style. They can also demonstrate that understanding in a variety of ways. Schoology provides educators with the tools need to customize their classroom so that they reach each student.
Schoology is a robust LMS with built in analytics, assessment tools, organizational options and usability that is unmatched by other platforms on the market. While other LMS platform focus solely on their own product, Schoology allows for the integration of different web 2.0 tools. These features put Schoology ahead of their competitors and creates a platform that educators want to use.
