Overall Satisfaction with ScienceLogic SL1

It is easy to install as appliance
We use it for Infra monitoring. We have some pros and cons with this tool. Customer expectation is high! They need APM, AIOPS within SL when it is on On-prem.
On-Premise Only
  • Installation of Appliances is simple
  • UI is good
  • It supports many Protocols
  • APM is required
  • Agent should be available for On-Prem solution
  • AIOPS functionalities should be available for On-Prem solution

  • Need to improve a lot still.
NNMi had good features to monitor network devices. SL1 is lagging to have same.
Micro Focus Network Node Manager i (formerly HP Network Node Manager), SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor (npm), SolarWinds Database Performance Analyzer
As I mentioned earlier, it has some good features and fails in a few. We need agent-based methodology when it is on-prem.

Integrating ScienceLogic SL1

Sciencelogic should develop Integration Connectors for most of the known tools ..
  • Moogsoft
  • Servicenow
  • SAP Solman
  • Commvault
Integrating other tools with SL is Quite easy compare to other tools in the market.
  • HP Oneview
  • SNOW Change Management
Most of the time, we get the good support from vendor
  • File import/export
  • Single Signon
  • API (e.g. SOAP or REST)
  • ETL tools
SNMP Traps
Expecting to get Integration connectors for most of the tools like Solman, Moogsoft etc

Still, improvement is required in the tool compared to other comitative monitoring tools
