Overall Satisfaction with SeekOut

I'm a Senior Recruiter, so I partner with hiring managers to fill open roles. I use SeekOut to source candidates for each requisition to increase the pool of qualified candidates. Depending on the part, I cannot always rely on applicants to fill my jobs as they often don't meet the requirements of the role. Using SeekOut, I'm able to conduct thorough boolean searches to identify candidates with the skills and experience that I need.
  • Helps me find niche candidates.
  • Let me search by specific companies or eliminate specific companies from my search.
  • Helps identify diverse candidates.
  • Provides contact information for candidates.
  • The contact information I receive is often outdated (old email addresses).
  • I sometimes get a smaller pool of candidates than expected.
  • I wish there was a dashboard in SeekOut that allowed me to send emails and store templates. The current solution isn't as simple and is more time-consuming than sending an email.
  • It's hard to keep track of who I or someone else in my organization has contacted. I wish there was a sidebar to let me know if/when the person has been contacted by a colleague or me.
  • SeekOut has helped me identify a larger pool of diverse candidates.
  • SeekOut has helped me find additional candidates who did not surface in my Linkedin search.
  • SeekOut has provided me with additional ways to reach out to candidates.
My company provided SeekOut when I joined last year. I appreciate that I can perform more detailed searches than I can with LI Recruiter alone. Using SeekOut along with LI Recruiter is when it works best as I like to have the option of emailing or reaching out through their personal email address.

SeekOut is best suited for searching for niche candidates with a rare or hard-to-find specialty. Those highly sought-after candidates don't always respond to Linkedin messages as they often receive a high volume of emails. SeekOut provides their contact info so that I can reach out to them outside of the Linkedin platform. It also identifies candidates that the Linkedin algorithm might miss. It's less appropriate for searches with a larger pool of qualified candidates that don't require niche skills or if I'm looking for a quick answer. I tend to get quicker responses via Linkedin email with specific candidates.
