Overall Satisfaction with ShareFile
We use ShareFile for uploading secure tax documents whether it be a return(Client Copy), K-1's, tax supporting documents to the client and can also once we have authorization use this to send client documents to a 3rd party, like the bank as needed. I love how simple and user friendly this has been compared to another one I have used.
Pros
- Notifies by email once client sees something was sent to them.
- Ability for confidentiality/security for client to download time-sensitive documents.
- Clients are able to upload documents to us as well
Cons
- Inability to send larger files, so we have to convert the smaller, then attach the larger file(s) which is fine, just takes a few more steps.
- Faster turn-around times so potential for refunds are quicker.
- Ability for client to access their information so they don't have to call us every time they needs a document.
There's a huge impact in that we are not only notified that client has received, but then again once documents are signed, so from an accuracy or follow through stand point it is a very useful program. This helps us to be able to organize into certain folders or categories so we aren't hunting for what is needed.
It is a lot easier for us to use with sharing documents with the client vs. sharing within the office, for instance if someone is working from home, they are like "a client", so have to download something, then make sure to delete when no longer needed to space retention is not an issue.
A lot more user friendly and less phone calls for assistance which make the purpose of smooth electronic communication a great thing. I like that it doesn't require 1 person to sign before the other person can and that we are notified separately once each person signs required documents.
