Overall Satisfaction with ShipperHQ
ShipperHQ is being used in our organization to solve the problem of providing accurate shipping rates across all our dynamic products. Since our products are large but not very heavy, it's nice to be able to set up custom carrier rules to make sure our customers are getting the best rate, while also keeping our shipping profitable. They also have a fantastic team to help set up the application itself and help the customer understand how to set up all the custom box sizes, etc.
Pros
- Accurate real-time shipping rates through a number of different carriers.
- Custom dimensional rules for one-off, and odd product packaging sizes.
- Shipping groups to help streamline the shipping of similar sized boxes or use of free shipping, etc.
Cons
- Some of the features are a little hard to understand how to set up properly - like dimensional rules.
- Would be nice if they provided the ability to print labels directly from within the app.
- We've managed to successfully provide accurate real-time shipping rates through FedEx while remaining profitable.
We only used BigCommerce's native real-time quote generator before this and it was only for international rates. ShipperHQ was able to help us get quickly set up with real-time rates for all FedEx services. I haven't looked into any alternatives.

When I first installed the app I wasn't able to understand how to apply the dimensional rules to custom box sizes. After a short 15-minute call with their support team, I was quickly able to see in BigCommerce where the shipping logs were and see what boxes each product was shipped in.
