Overall Satisfaction with ShoreTel VOIP
We use ShoreTel at Lakeside Industries as our primary enterprise voice communications platform. 15 locations across 3 states are connected together all on a common ShoreTel system. ShoreTel allows us to reduce long distance costs and provide 4 digit extensions for every person in our organization. Our calculated ROI on our investment in ShoreTel was 18 months.
- Calculated total hard costs of hardware and deployment was fully repaid via long distance savings, reduced lines charges and consolidation in less than 18 months. Our ROI did not account for any other benefits other than hard Telco costs.
- Providing extension dialing, universal voice mail and advanced feature sets (call routing, mobility, etc.) has made out telephone platform a productivity enhancer.
We implemented Shoretel in early 2008 (currently 6 years ago). At the time we did an extensive RFP which included proposals from Cisco, Mitel and others. We looked at costs, features and management and ShoreTel was a winner across the board for our environment and needs.
ShoreTel has been a great fit for us both in our office and field deployments.
Using ShoreTel VOIP
Our maintenance costs for ShoreTel are very low. The phrase "it just works" comes to mind. In the past 6 years we have had 1 switch and 3 handsets fail and replaced. Management is very easy and doesn't require a dedicated Telco FTE. My IT techs can learn, understand and manage the system very well. ShoreTel is seemingly continually working to improve their integration with common applications. We also feel that ShoreTel, for the most part, has very good vision in the market.
