Overall Satisfaction with Sigma Computing

Our company uses Sigma Computing as a BI platform for end users to explore curated datasets, build their own visualizations, and answer their own business questions. The problems that Sigma Computing addresses for our business is enabling self-exploration of data in a way that end users find intuitive and easy. Sigma Computing will be our main BI platform, supporting all dashboards and reporting for our company.

Would you buy Sigma Computing again?

Yes

Previously our business users were operating under a model of requesting data dumps, or pulling lists of data from our legacy BI tool to then analyze themselves in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. Now our end users are able to interact with the data directly in Sigma Computing, removing the need to request data dumps or download data for usage in Microsoft Excel. This allows our Analytics team to focus on other areas such as enhancing datasets and dashboards.
End users are able to see the curated datasets and explore, using drill downs and all other Sigma Computing functionality to discover insights and answer business questions.
Sigma Computing was our top choice due to the ease of use of the platform for end users doing self-exploration of data. The structure of the platform for how datasets are created and access provisioned was much better than other products we considered. Sigma Computing may not have all of the same visualizations as other BI tools, but the ones it does have available satisfy 95% of our needs. In the end, we went with Sigma Computing because we knew that our end users would have a better experience using a platform that functions similar to Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
Sigma has proved to be very easy to use for end users that are familiar with BI tools. It is very intuitive for users that have experience working with data in Excel or Google Sheets, as functions within Sigma are almost identical.

Some situations that are not appropriate for Sigma would be a business that needs to maintain separate environments for Dev/Test/Production, or businesses with rigid deployment structure and protocol.
