Overall Satisfaction with Slack

I use Slack to keep track of our project status. It has been helpful that it can give us a real-time response. Also I can setup a group conversation regarding the project status.

Pros

  • Easy to send messages
  • Responses from the other people on the project shows up quickly.
  • Can maintain and update new users to a group conversation.

Cons

  • If LAN or WiFi Network is down, be able to save messages in a queue.
  • If there are employees with duplicate names a method to distinguish who is who.
  • An easier way to attach files or logs from a WiFi prototype device.
  • It smooths out conversations between the 2 or more parties.
  • A great collaborative tool.
  • No negative feedback.
I always have difficulty attaching log files from a WiFi prototype device.

Ideally it is easier to use then constantly sending SMS messages to one another.
