Overall Satisfaction with Smartsheet
We use Smartsheet to record and report on all of the services provided by our organization. We are grant funded and so we need to report to our granters in very specific ways. Smartsheet allowed us to build a really complex and robust array of functions and reports to fulfill this need. We have 30 people using the software, and everything is text-based entries or attachments.
Pros
- Works great with Zapier
- Great for small, simple projects
- Notifications work well
Cons
- This is not a Database
- Connections to any outside resource are lacking or difficult
- Organization is restricted
- Cannot have too many users on at the same time
- The connections between sheets are a really big hassle
- Often slow with 200 sheets and ~200K entries
- Expensive for non-profits
- Not-Scalable
- Exporting is limited
- Notifying users when they have something assigned to them
- Looks like Excel
- Secure and safe storage and Backup
- SS caused our data entry to become very inaccurate
- People think and organize differently this does not allow for individualized organization styles which causes a lot of problems when users impose their own organization methods
