Overall Satisfaction with SOCi

Our marketing team uses several of the tools SOCi offers: Reputation management, organic social posting, and paid social ads. We are a franchise business, so the tool allows us to create localized social media content quickly and efficiently. That was the big selling point for us when looking for tools to help us improve our online presence. We can schedule content out weeks and even months in advance. We are also able to monitor reviews at a high level and respond across the enterprise. Currently, we do not share access to SOCi with our franchisees; everything is managed at the corporate level.

I used the basic Hootsuite subscription to schedule organic social media posts. However, it fell short in assisting franchises or businesses with multiple locations because it lacks the ability to localize content. So, you would essentially have to create 50 posts for 50 business locations if you wanted to include a unique phone number. SOCi lets you do that with one post. It also lacked a rolled up reporting feature. SOCi can show me what's going on at a high level as well as at the location level or group level.

SOCi is a fantastic tool for a franchise business because it provides the ability to post in bulk while also posting localized content. So, you can share the same basic content across all of your locations, but SOCi's tagging system inserts a location's phone number or website for each individual location. This helps create a localized feel and personalized touch -- but you only schedule one post, making it easy and efficient to localize content in mass posting. This principle applies to paid ads as well.

Because of these features, SOCi may not be the best platform for companies with just one location.

SOCi Support

SOCi has always been very responsive. They have a support ticket feature where you can submit questions, and I've also reached out directly to my account managers, who are extremely knowledgeable and responsive. And if what you are looking for doesn't exist yet, they can submit it for a new feature request.

Using SOCi

SOCi is easy to use, and their account managers are fantastic! Most things are easy and straightforward to find in their dashboard. And they have a large library of materials to help you learn the platform. Whenever I've had a question, they have been there to help. I use SOCi on my desktop and cannot speak to mobile performance and navigability.
