Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor
We used SolarWinds for the purposes of monitoring our networking infrastructure. It allowed us to keep track of our servers and switches within our domain. It was primarily used to help keep track of network performance and utilization as well as notifications of outages.
- Allows for monitoring of network traffic and utilization.
- Customized alerts and notifications.
- Allows you to inventory all devices on the network.
- It can be difficult to set up initially.
- Better initial documentation and on boarding would be very useful.
- Allows for us to respond much more quickly to network issues through out the company.
They each have their place, but SolarWinds allowed us more and better features and alerts than the implementations of the other two that we were using.
