Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds Server & Application Monitor

We utilize SAM to monitor windows scheduled tasks that run many of our application. We also utilize its reporting to gauge elasticity.
  • Alerts on failed tasks.
  • Helps us plan for disk space growth.
  • Aid in analyzing over/under utilization of system resources.
  • Maintenance on keeping things clean is time consuming.
  • SolarWinds alerting on scheduled tasks failures.
I don't have specific quatitative data on this item as it is tough to gauge. It helps me and my co-workers in saving time while troubleshooting.
SolarWinds has a might wider product catalogue than Nagios.
SAM is great for predicting disk space growth and planning for the future. We are able to analyze our growth over a period of time and make assessments for the future.
