Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds Server & Application Monitor
We use SAM to monitor many different aspects of our organization. We use insight for multiple IIS servers, as well as checking event logs. It's only used by the IT department. It allows us to monitor performance and catch issues as soon as they happen.
- IIS App insight.
- Alerting on hardware issues (i.e. disk space).
- Setup can be confusing.
- Since it can alert on so much, some settings may be too sensitive.
- I'd say overall, it's a positive ROI making problem diagnosis easier, however; I don't have any numbers analysis.
We have not used any other software besides SolarWinds.
