  • Improves visibility and transparency for individual sales reps and their managers.
  • once setup, seamlessly calculates commissions month over month.
  • Approval workflow beyond the immediate manager, for example, if the C level needs to approve, we would like to have a summary level view that they will be able to see and approve. this approval should reach them only when it is their turn to approve. there are workarounds currently, but perhaps they need a new user type that is "Approver" this user will have access to view but not edit, if changes are needed they can send back with notes.
  • we were able to better track "Walked" deals and deduct from commissions.
  • Sales reps can see their payout and approve it on day 1 of the following month instead of waiting for us to manually calculate and send out commission statements.
  • Inaccuracies are addressed withing the month.
Happy with the overall functionality and user-friendliness of the software. Some minor improvements to the software needed to meet our requirements, mainly surrounding Exec approvals which I have detailed under previous questions.
Absolutely. There is tremendous visibility for sales reps, managers, and finance. Calculations are 100% accurate, there is flexibility program the logic needed for a wide range of comp plans.

I'd repeat the same, Great value add for transparency and "live" (overnight sync) calculations of commissions. the approvals beyond immediate supervisors need some work. but overall an awesome software to add to your company for commissions calculations.

Using Spiff

75 - for the most part they are sales reps and BDRs, we also have sales managers and finance for review and approvals.
1 - our Salesforce admin also serves as support for SPIFF, this is mainly for adding users and assigning comp plans as well as programing new plans.
  • Transparency - Real time (overnight sync) calculations of commissions ad visibility of deals closed.
  • Monthly Commissions approvals
  • No need to manually send out statements to each rep.
  • Pipeline view has been popular among reps, having the ability to look forward to what they can make if the close specific deals in their pipeline.
  • Possibly an executive dashboard that will report month and YTD deals closed and the cost of each deal closed. that would be a greater value add it they create this.
the software is working very, sales team is loving it.
