Overall Satisfaction with Articulate 360

We use Storyline 360 to create e-learning programs that are then uploaded to our LMS as part of a comprehensive training curriculum for cargo terminal employees and managers, as part of a transition to mixed ILT and online training.

Pros

  • Creates slide-based training material
  • Animates content
  • Easily creates a variety of content evaluation and knowledge checks
  • Excellent online review system
  • Creates interactive content

Cons

  • Odd solution to having multiple files open at once.
  • Unpredictable cut and paste regarding inclusion of audio clips.
  • Paragraph-based animation option sometimes fails.
  • Streamlined our transition to e-learning.
  • Expedites training content creation.
  • Reduced learning curve for content creators.
Storyline 360's interface and tool set is basically a duplicate of PowerPoint, so if you're already familiar with PowerPoint, it's easy to make the transition to the new software. It's not completely intuitive, due to the addition of tools that relate solely to animation and audio, as well as managing the player interface that is added to the content when it is published, but Articulate provides good support and a surprising selection of free training on the software.

Do you think Articulate 360 delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Articulate 360's feature set?

Yes

Did Articulate 360 live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Articulate 360 go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Articulate 360 again?

Yes

Storyline 360's ability to import existing PowerPoint files as editable e-learning slides is an incredibly useful feature when converting a library of existing ILT content. Its interface is very similar to PowerPoint, which creates a shallow learning curve for anyone making the transition to e-learning creation from conventional trainer support content creation. However, the transition to state-based animations and interactions is less intuitive, and may require some formal training for content creators.
