Overall Satisfaction with Teamcenter
We use Teamcenter as the core of our CAD data, containing full BOM structure and relationships between components and tooling to create components. Within Teamcenter we are able to manage our workflows for release of components and to assign attributes required for classification of parts within Teamcenter and downstream into ERP application and other tools. We are able to fully customise to match our business needs with bespoke part code classifications.
- CAD File Management
- Customization of Attributes around CAD Data
- Easy customization of data fields to export into other tools
- Adjustments to workflows and processes is robust
- Web browser instance to open application won't be missed
- Data tree icons are small and not as easy to identify when not using as power user
- Data structure to manage restricted user access could be cleaner
- First experience of TeamCenterX web browser interface - a bit clunky (seems too many options)
- Rapid Access to CAD Data Structure
- Fast and efficient release process
- Customizable to quickly adjust process (adding / changing attributes) while maintaining backwards compatibility
- Allows us to delivery performance on track quickly
- Allows us to create classification systems to quantify costs of production by part group
- Integrates well with NX allowing modification of attributes without having to fill in forms within Teamcenter
Teamcenter is a more robust and faster application, with better search capability and easier customization. There is a reason you find companies using CATIA as their CAD software with Teamcenter as their PLM application! I don't know anyone who can name a company using NX with Enovia as their PLM!
