TeamViewer Review
Overall Satisfaction with TeamViewer
TeamViewer is very helpful as I work in an environment with lots of technology yet with people whose skill in technology is not high. It allows me to quickly and easily login remotely and help solve issues that slow down our work flow at the office. I can fix technical issues, teach others more about their software interface and help our team members navigate in software that might be unfamiliar to them. It has also been an incredibly helpful solution for accessing information in a pinch that may have been left behind or kept on another system.
Pros
- Provides reliable and speedy access to other systems.
- Allows for a variety of interfaces from screen viewing to controlling another system.
- Allows for easy switching between multiple systems in your network.
Cons
- The system for adding a computer to your network is overly complicated.
- It could use more security options so that some users could have limited access.
- It is expensive and needs options for company size so that the price can be more appropriate.
- It has helped to smooth out potential technical difficulties that would have halted work for part of a day or more.
- The free version may be all that your business needs. We have considered it recently.
- If we had more software trainings this would come in much more useful.
It has been years since I have compared TeamViewer, so my current experience would be outdated for how it stacks up against the competition. We use TeamViewer because it incorporates all three elements of Web Conferencing, Remote Access and VPN services. If you don't need all 3 of these services, then it might be best to use their free trial or find a more specific software.
