Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We started using Tipalti this year and it had made verification of payments to our contractors very seamless. We can see all pertinate dociments to accompany invoices and share them with multiple departments. It is very easy to dispute a claim so send one back that needs more information. Our contractors can set up accounts to receive emails for payments and invoice approvals.

Being able to have more than one approved on an invoice makes sense with this software.

The direct ACH payment our contractors were asking for was a big plus to the system we were using before. I hope to see further improvement as this software grows.

Usability

It was very quick and easy to create multiple department approvals. It is a first time user it flowed seamlessly. I’m able to find exactly the data I need and make the work flow faster. The multiple submission detector is fantastic as some invoices are sent to multiple departments and knowing it was previously submitted, versus having to hand sort and verify duplicates of invoices, saves a lot of time.

Efficiency

There’s definitely a lot of time saving with accounting tasks. Having to chase down emails for multiple departments took a lot of my time and effort, but with the software I’m able to detect multiple invoice, submissions and track approvals across multiple departments. The time saving it is brought to our company is absolutely invaluable. The on boarding of invoice submissions and payments was very quick and some of our contractors who are not as computer savvy found it quite user-friendly. The approval workflows make funneling invoices from channel to channel much easier, some clients have multiple departments the layers within each department Tipalti took care of that problem too.

Alternatives Considered

Quick books needed too many dual permissions. Allowing confusion on which department is responsible for a payment. NetSuite was complicated and didn’t offer the fast onboarding that Tipalti offered. The lay out at Tipalti seems visually better as well. NetSuite also had issues with migrating data completely. Some attachments were cut short.

Signing up new vendors for the coming year, we were able to promote to Tipalti’s quick payment system for our contractors. We walked them through setting up an account and it was very easy to send each vendor a link to the sign-up page. We were able to keep in contact with our contractors on the status of payments and easily find the information. Ability to offer faster payments was well received and a vast improvement over last year. I like the fact that each vendor can go in and set up their own account. That way they can view the status of their invoices and retrieve their payment information.

Highly recommend for the onboarding alone
