Overall Satisfaction with Trello

Trello is used at all levels, and in numerous departments at my company. By allowing multiple users to share boards with each other - in real time, project tasks and meeting agendas can be continually updated. Some departments manage their staff meeting agendas with Trello; others use it for their check lists (think onboarding new employees or project tasks). I've also seen it manage special (non business) projects - like managing volunteers, supplies, and time slots for an extracurricular activity.
  • Real Time Updates - All viewers of a board are able to get updates when a change is made. Very helpful if a meeting agenda changes last minute - or a team member completes a project task that you were just about to dive into.
  • Insert Files - its so easy to insert external files (Word Docs / PDFs / Excel; etc) into a Trello board.
  • Ease of Use- since Trello is used so widely across my company, being easy to use / understand is critical. We have to train individuals on numerous things, but for Trello - its usually just a log in and quick once over before someone is up to speed.
  • Trello Gold - Doesnt seem to bring any value to me (and maybe I am missing something big here - but... ) Adding stickers or changing backgrounds is not of importance to me... Even if I am in it every day.
  • + = consistency in onboarding new employees and making sure each individual is completing the necessary steps to a successful onboard
Well suited for individuals looking to have 'check lists' online and accessible from multiple devices.
For people who are paranoid and always want to archive their information - without wasting device space ;)
For teams who need real time updates
For teams working together on a project(s) - where many pieces are moving at the same time.
For HR teams (or managers) tracking onboarding activities
