Trending and licensing. Being able to easily lock resources to select hardware via tagging helps with licensing compliance. Also, the utilization data collected is a great help in sizing.

Nothing. Everything IBM Turbonomic provides could be done in another way... it would just take much more time, effort, staff, resources and a sacrifice in efficiency. Other products can also perform bits and pieces of what IBM Turbonomic does, but then you lose the unified platform.
Simpler. IBM Turbonomic is more efficient and simpler to use.
