Overall Satisfaction with Twitter Counter

Our organization is small, but we still need to measure our impact on social media to help our members understand the impact we are making. We were originally using the stats provided by Twitter (within Twitter itself), but we needed to be able to show changes over the past year. I began researching options and found Twitter Counter. It allows us to show how the number of followers has increased over time as well as the tweets that have had the most impact. It helps to justify the fact that social media is part of our communications strategy and is not a waste of time.
  • Tracks data over the past year
  • Offers monthly reports to show progress
  • Shows tweets that made a big impact
  • I can't say I would make any changes right now
  • Allows us to see quickly our stats, saving time on reporting
  • Allows us to give this overview to relevant people via customizable PDF reports
  • Allows us to make changes to social media strategy to ensure we are reaching our audiences
I've used AgoraPulse and Hootsuite for analytics in the past. For a small organization that needs to keep a relatively tight budget control while still being able to delve into its analytics over the past year, Twitter Counter has the edge over AgoraPulse and Hootsuite. Both require much higher monthly payments for analytics that cover that length of time. Twitter Counter doesn't try to be an all-in-one solution, and in that regard, it stands out for reporting, especially for smaller organizations that do not need the full functionality of more expensive AgoraPulse or Hootsuite packages.
Twitter Counter is well suited for smaller organizations who need a quick view of their stats for reporting, annual reports, etc. Twitter Counter may be less well suited for large organizations that need more granular detail about their social media analytics.
