Overall Satisfaction with UiPath Enterprise RPA Platform

UiPath is being used by our global business services organization. It has become our standard solution for automation. We have several bots deployed currently doing back-end processes for finance operations and some vendor management functions too. In the past, our automation technology is mostly VBA macros. While this has been manageable in the past, maintaining a library of over a thousand macros has become difficult and the macro capabilities are limited too. UiPath solves those issues as we now have visibility on the bots deployed. Its features and capabilities are top of the game and continuously improving.
  • Central bot control through Orchestrator
  • Windows automation (element selection and click/type simulation)
  • The UiPath Studio could use some work. I've always wanted to be able to colorize the activity boxes as that would help make the structure of the workflow more easily visible.
  • The Orchestrator Dashboard could also use some improvements. Being able to customize what we'd like to see on the landing page and what statistics to display would be good. Today, we had to build a different web app that displays custom statistical charts (hooked up to the Orchestrator API).
  • With the license cost of UiPath, our team has become more stringent on the pipeline items that make it to the development stage (thereby increasing the chance of a better ROI).
UiPath's community version and diverse community forum comes to mind as big differentiators. The community version right off the bat gives you all the functionalities of the licensed version (even Orchestrator) and allows you to quickly do experiments and even production-level bots. The forum contains a treasure-trove of knowledge that's even way better that what Stack Overflow would provide.
We have an assigned Customer Success Manager and he is always there to provide us with support since day one. He has great technical knowledge background as he used to be a senior developer in UiPath. Whenever we have questions, he provides support and has helped with addressing major issues in the first few months of our RPA journey.

Do you think UiPath Automation Platform delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with UiPath Automation Platform's feature set?

Yes

Did UiPath Automation Platform live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of UiPath Automation Platform go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy UiPath Automation Platform again?

Yes

UiPath is best suitable for small organizations who are trying to get into RPA as there is a community version that is fully functional. For big organizations, UiPath is also a great option as its capability to scale is unprecedented. At this point, my opinion is UiPath should be part of any organization's automation effort as there's virtually no reason why they shouldn't give it a try.
