Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use UKG Pro as an HCM for payroll, recruiting, onboarding, performance reviews, and benefits adminstration. By using UKG Pro as the system of record for all aspects of employment, it streamlines processes and reduces duplication of data.

Pros and Cons

Streamlines candidates through recruiting, onboarding and into payroll
Provides analytics regarding employee retention/satisfaction
Manages multiple jobs/pay, deductions, benefits

UKG Pro is so customizable that it can be overwhelming
Cognos Analytics provides great reporting but creating new customized reports is not easy for the average user
Recruiting could be more up-to-date to include text to apply and automated text responses.

Return on Investment

Importing hours from our point of sale/timekeeping system into UKG Pro has reduced the amount of time it takes to process payroll and has reduced errors due to manual entry.
The ability for UKG Pro to communicate with benefit carriers saves a lot of time when dealing with new hires and terminations
The ability to monitor current and past due performance reviews allows us to monitor which locations are keeping up on developing employees.

Usability

UKG Pro is a great tool but it can be overwhelming for many users. It is a very complex human resource system with a lot of tools and information available, but for averages users it can be intimidating.

Centralization

We've been able to simplify processes from onboarding into payroll to eliminate duplicating data entry into multiple systems. We've also taken many systems that were "paper and pencil" and made them electronic to maintain better employee records all in one place.

UKG Pro is the only third party payroll provider I have experience with, however I had demos with many providers before making the decision to go with UKG Pro. We previously processed payroll internally and used different vendors for recruiting/onboarding and benefits administration. UKG Pro has simplified the entire employee experience by having all functions under one platform.

UKG Pro is an excellent choice for your human capital management needs.

Overall Satisfaction with UKG Pro
