Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our organization uses UKG Pro (formerly Ultimate Software UltiPro) across our whole organization as our teammates' self-service portal. It also functions as our employee database that we use for recruiting, onboarding, and payroll.

Pros and Cons

Back office set up seems very outdated and not as user friendly
Super user role should be able to do everything
When folks get re-hired, sometimes they bypass the onboarding gateway if they use the same email we already have for them in the system

Performance

The performance of the software is pretty ideal. I have noticed it works better on Chrome than on Internet Explorer in terms of loading speed for pages and reports, depending on their complexity. Unfortunately, there are some pages--like the model my pay feature--that do not work on Internet Explorer. It just shows as loading and then will go to "Page not responding" with the error message.

Support Rating

Great support staff! Always going above and beyond to make sure they can get a resolution ASAP, whether it's an issue with the system that affects everyone or something that isn't working just for you. I have had a few tickets opened with the system, and if they are not able to fix it right away, they provide periodic updates. Then, once it is resolved, they check back in afterwards to make sure it is still working smoothly.

Exceptional Examples of UKG Pro Support

When I was first given back-office access, my mouse was not working and I could not click on anything in order to move through. I was already stressed because I knew the damage that could be done if I messed anything up and my leader was going away for a new job. The support team was very patient with me and did not get exasperated with my frustration with myself and the program. They fixed the issue within 10 minutes and then followed up afterwards.

Likelihood to Recommend

This is a great tool for human resource functions for companies with a very large amount of employees. It can be beneficial for companies with fewer people, of course, but it is able to create a user-friendly experience for teammates as well as HR who make hundreds of changes to employee data per day.
