Overall Satisfaction with UKG Pro (formerly Ultimate Software UltiPro)
We use UKG Pro for our main HR management system. We also use the compensation module, performance management module, recruitment and onboarding modules and run payroll with it. It's being used by HR and payroll everyday, and by our employees to access paystubs, complete performance reviews and update their personal information (such as address, phone number, email, etc.) UKG Pro really helps us to streamline all of our employees from all locations and be able to access their information remotely - especially important during Covid-19 times.
- Accessible from anywhere - very important when working remotely.
- User-friendly - any of our employees can use this software from office to the shop.
- Mobile app - information is organized well and paystubs are easy to access.
- I wish employees could complete performance reviews on the app - a lot of our employees are in the shop or in the field and don't have access to computers, this makes completing performance reviews more difficult for them.
- Sometimes the process of logging in (more the inability to do so) can be challenging for employees, I wish the reset of employees' password / challenge questions process was a little simpler for them. In HR, we spend quite a bit of time troubleshooting login issues and resetting employees' profiles.
- Ability to manage most HR activities within one platform - our team is much more organized and it has made our jobs easier to know there is one central place for all employee related information (outside of our time and attendance software that we still have separate, but this is more on the payroll side).
- The time savings that UKG Pro has provided us are substantial, we can now spend more time on the employee experience and being more proactive rather than reactive due to time restraints.
- Employee autonomy - employees have more power to access their information and rely on our team less for mundane, everyday tasks.
I have personally used Oracle (and JD Edwards) and Workday in the past. I really enjoyed these products (JD Edwards at the time was a bit dated, yet very functional). When I joined my present company, they had just implemented UKG Pro, I had at the time thought it was a more US focused company, but I have since found out many other Canadian companies use UKG Pro and there is plenty of assistance available for Canadian clients. My company had chosen UKG Pro because they really wanted a product that was a one-stop shop and had all of the modules available without needing any other software (i.e. a separate performance management platform).
Yes, one time I experienced a system error when I was actually locked out of the Customer Success Portal. This was difficult as I couldn't access the "cases" area to be able to submit a case on this issue. At first I had thought this would be annoying to deal with, since I didn't know of a phone number (I've only ever submitted cases, never reached out to UKG Pro support over the phone until the assigned reps reach out to me directly). I was able to contact our account manager, which gave me a phone number to call and then I was able to get the issue resolved and get myself access to the CSP again.
