Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We utilize UKG Pro for a multitude of things. It is our HCM system and used as our source of all employee information. We utilize payroll, reporting, tracking of licenses, benefit administration, etc. within UKG. It helps keep employee records/information together in one system and we have multiple APIs set up to share information to other systems within the organization.

Better performance management.
TOA: It's not beneficial to companies that work on billable hours.
UKG is known for launching new products before fully vetting them. Focus on making it 100% right the first time before launching to users.

Return on Investment

Increased reporting and analytics.
Decrease in external payroll costs.

Performance

I don't have a lot of issues with UKG. Reports run fairly quickly (depending on the amount of data you're pulling). There are a lot of systems that we have integrations and/or APIs set up with and that works very well for us.

Support Rating

It's honestly hit or miss. Some days support is quick to answer and does a great job walking me through the issues that I'm having. Other times, you have to follow up multiple times before you get anything from them.

Exceptional Examples of UKG Pro Support

I've had multiple experiences where I was trying to create a complicated report and Support sat on the phone with me and walked me through how to set it up and taught me what I needed to know for the future. I appreciate that so much more than having someone just create it for me.

Likelihood to Recommend

For my industry, we have great success in UKG for reporting, payroll, benefits, and general employee information benefits. Areas where I don't think it works is TOA—e use billable hours and it's not functional for that. I've used recruiting in the past and I think there were areas for improvement there (though it's been a few years). Reporting though is key for us. Accounts are number-based and the ability to pull reports is KEY.
