Overall Satisfaction with UKG Ready

UKG is being used across our organization! We use the HR, Performance, TLM, and Payroll functions. We currently use UKG to conquer onboarding about 400-500 new employees every week. It also helps us stay on top of accrual policies that impact us a nationwide company. The way that UKG best addresses our business problems is by its configurability. We grow fast and we move fast; UKG makes it possible for us to pivot quickly.

Pros

Cons

  • Unintuitive checklist experience! The amount of user support our employees need is a major cost for my company.
  • Lack of proper communication on important system bugs. We have had issues with direct deposit changes, 401k match, and withholding form submissions; these are obviously all hugely important functions. All came back to be system bugs! Things happen but none were resolved quickly and none were communicated well. We were told that they were fixed on several occasions, only to find out that it wasn't deployed.
  • You should be able to change someone's accrual profile effective a date. This is important to both employees who have been promoted and employees who are changing their work location.
  • we've been able to move out of paper with custom forms
  • We've been able to reduce administrative burden of onboarding and managing data. This is by leveraging auto-initiating checklists and importing data from custom form reports
I think UKG is really user friendly for the most part. I think it's a little difficult when you start using it but once you get the hang of it, it's really easy. This is mainly feedback on navigation.
I think we do a lot of work on our end to integrate which is why my rating is so low. We have to engage IT to build integrations using our API's to almost every outside system we have. However, I love that we have the ability to import so much using the API. We have automated processes in Ready using our API's and importing. I wish the API's could do more! Like initiating hr actions.
Yes! We were able to take our new hire, promotion, and termination request process from running over email to running through UKG forms. This really improved the lives of our HR teams because we were able to drive better data (ie the custom form has picklist values) and enforce approval worflows. Likewise, it was a lot less work for my team because we are able to import the changes based on the custom form reporting. This also improved the experience of managers because their changes are completed much more quickly.
