Overall Satisfaction with UKG Ready

We use a full suite, from Recruitment ATS to HR Profiles to Benefits administration to Payroll. UKG Ready helps us fill gaps in collecting employee data, having employees sign company acknowledgments, and seeing their tax information/payroll and W2s. Also, with benefits, we have vendor feeds, which help ensure employees are added to their systems and gain their benefits efficiently.

Pros

  • Support—UKG support, from the Account Managers to CSMs to Ready Support, is amazing. They are always willing to help!
  • Documentation—UKG has built-in online documentation, which is a live, easy-to-use version of a very lengthy manual.
  • Ease of use- the system is intuitive, easy to train others to use.

Cons

  • Performance- the module is not robust and has areas of improvement.
  • Recruitment: The career page needs more options to enhance the module's visibility and use when applicants submit their job applications.
  • Benefits—EOI—We wish it was more customizable, given that some benefits that require EOI are only after the first time an employee elects coverage or more coverage. Sometimes, the employee's first enrollment is when open enrollment occurs.
  • The system has allowed us to understand what goes into background vendors and helped us transition in a troubled time.
  • The system has allows us to move forms to custom forms vs using Docusign.
  • The system has helped us cut back on paper usage and storing folders.
UKG Ready is adaptable, and learning how to use the system effectively is easy. It is also customizable so that the end-user has an easier time getting to where they need to be through Dashboards, etc. Custom forms and HR Actions are two favorite features of ours due to the ease and ability to attach workflows for the changes to either auto-approve or flow to the right individuals to approve the changes.
I am taking away two points due to the difficulty we have faced with Ready Benefits, assigning a resource, and understanding what we need before it is assigned. Otherwise, once the integrations are built, the ease is great.
Absolutely! When we moved our New Hire and Open Enrollment into the system, this helped with time management and getting our documentation together for our vendors. The time saved and stress reduction once employees enroll electronically are irreplaceable. Even when the decisions from our SLT cut us down to the wire, we can get the system set up before we have rates, and that is a huge time saver, too.
You cannot compare the two products and how much more we get as an organization from Ready than we did with ADP: more visibility, transparency, and ease of use.

UKG to us is very close to 10/10 with a few areas that we cannot recommend due to the lack of efficiency.
