Overall Satisfaction with UKG Ready

I use UKG Ready to log the amount of time that I spend on various projects across my week. I also use it to view and manage my PTO. This allows my manager and project managers to see how I am using my time and make sure we are billing clients correctly.

Pros

  • Good interface for requesting PTO.
  • Decent interface for assigning hours to different projects.
  • Works well across different browsers and devices.

Cons

  • Choosing codes for projects when assigning time is opaque and cumbersome.
  • 2FA must be used frequently, which seems excessive for a time logging software.
  • More intuitive mobile app UI would be nice.
  • Increased visibility by project managers as to how many hours are being spent on a body of work, which helps make sure we are charging clients the appropriate amount for labor.
  • Helps employees understand where their time is being spent, so they can identify wasted time and work to eliminate it.
Some interfaces, such as PTO requests, work quite well, while others, such as timesheets, are a bit clunky when it comes to assigning hours to individual charge codes. Therefore, I think a somewhat mediocre score is appropriate. I wish the timesheets on mobile app were more user friendly as well.
I came back from a two week holiday vacation and after logging into UKG Ready, I saw that my PTO had been allocated incorrectly, leaving me with much less PTO for the coming year than I was due. I was able to reach out to one of our HR people, who was easily able to correct the error. This reduced my stress, as I was quite concerned about not being able to take all my PTO and was worried it might be a difficult process to get the issue fixed.

Works well for managing how much and what kinds of PTO you have accumulated. The interface for requesting PTO as well as viewing current PTO requests works well. It is not so well suited for assigning hours to different charge codes, as this interface is somewhat clunky and difficult to use.
