Overall Satisfaction with VNC Connect

We use VNC Connect in our IT department to remotely access branch computers in a way that allows the remote user to see what we are doing and therefore learn how to do it for themselves. We have found it to be a better tool than RDP connections for this reason.
  • Multi-platform support
  • Easy to use
  • Inexpensive. Free for personal use.
  • No drag and drop transfer between viewer app and remote desktop
  • Need server version to be installed on the remote device
  • No sending one-time invitation emails from the remote machine
  • Inexpensive
  • Ease of use
  • Supports Linux
  • Decreased cost of remote training
It is good for one-shot use and not having to pre-configure remote devices, but we felt that the interface for connecting was not as simple.

Do you think VNC Connect delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with VNC Connect's feature set?

Yes

Did VNC Connect live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of VNC Connect go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy VNC Connect again?

Yes

Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365), Jira Service Management (Jira Service Desk)
It is very easy to use if the remote device is already set up to receive connections, so if you are setting up devices before deploying them, it is a great tool to have. It is well-suited to use when shadowing users or using it as a teaching tool. There are other products that are better if you are trying to help someone on a one-use basis.
