Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We utilize WatchGuard across our entire organization to protect our own infrastructure, as well as client, hosted infrastructure. The problems resolved by WatchGuard for us have mainly been high security related issues such as gateway antivirus, spam filter, geolocation and many other security holes that our businesses fave. WatchGuard allows us to provide security at an affordable price.

Pros and Cons

Timely updates.
Threat detection.
Customer service.

The desktop client needs a face lift.
Logging is a pain to configure.
I’d like to see more price points in between products.

Positive in that we see much less threats in our network.

We resell and work directly with WatchGuard and our reseller. I will not give out which reseller we use.

Usability

It just works. It is not complicated and works right out of the box. The customization is there, and support is wonderful.

Likelihood to Recommend

WatchGuard network security, as far as we are concerned, fits in any size business. We deploy to offices of less than 5 employees, and to larges offices of several hundred employees. I cannot speak intelligently enough on the enterprise or large Fortune 500 size organizations, but for the majority of SMBs, WatchGuard works perfectly!
